Sujet
- Pancreastatin is a 49-residue peptide hormone that inhibits glucose-induced insulin release and exocrine pancreatic secretion. It was originally isolated from porcine pancreas, where it is colocalized with insulin, glucagon and somatostatin, but it is part of the sequence of chromogranin A and is thus found in tissues where the chromogranin gene is expressed, including most endocrine cells.
